from board index, if its the registration page you mean, it settings are on /index.php?action=regcenter;sa=settings admin > Registration > Settings > Complexity of visual verification image GD 2.0 or above needs to be installed on the server to enable them to show.
Hi with joomla . when image not showing i config link domain correct in file config and image showed. And i want you check file configs template in administrator cpanel . OH wow i miss i have same problem i fixed by using ftp conect to my host and edit file config corect link . If you use template defaul you can show image. I think it if you use joomla to make portal visit www.djoomla.com to download resoure joomla i think joomla + smf is best
