Hi I'm starting a new Fourm with SMF, Just wandering if it is possible to create several user names under one email address in admin so I can get the forum going a bit? Thanks x
Okay thanks, It's just when people talk about tips to get a forum started they say create a 'book' e.g conversations between different usernames - because no one posts on empty forums . How would they do this, by manually making up seperate accounts? x
just get alot of free email accounts, like yahoo or hotmail. there are also services where you can pay people to post on your forum.
or make yourself 1 gmail account with a '.' in it and then you can use variations of the address and they all end up in the same gmail account eg also accepts mail for my..name@gmail.com my...name@gmail.com etc

if you have your own domain name, making multiple email accounts using that domain will work. just hide the email address in the profile.
Since your an Admin, you can register accounts yourself, and I believe you could enter fake e-mails and it would accept it.
