SMF Ad Management - help...

Discussion in 'Forum Management' started by humanedited, Jan 17, 2008.

I've installed Ad Management 2.3 on SMF 1.1.4 but cannot get it to work.

I'm having the same problem as many others where the option for ad management isn't even showing up in the Configuration menu. I'm using a default theme on my forum.

Looking at the posts on the support site (smfads.com) this seems to be a fairly common problem with very little helpful advice. Obviously though, some people have got this package to work so, if you fall into that category, any advice you could pass on would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance

Figured it out. If anyone else is having this problem, make sure to change the Default Forum Language from English-UTF8 to English

To change to plain English, just go to Admin, then Server Settings, then choose Language, then choose "English" only.

ok I'm having a problem right now. My ads don't show up on other themes. They only show up on the default theme. Anyone know why?

I have been using the ads mod for a long time and I have never got it to work on any theme but the default.

    All the Best,

Yeah I do you gotta place the ad management code into the new theme as the mod only edits the default theme when your installing it.

Well just take a look at smfads.com and take a look at the themes that they've already made ADMOD work with and possibly choose one of them.
