Actually the $400 is simply a cost of doing business. Do you really think they go out and buy a PS3 and smash it and are out the $400 - $700?? lol They make a LOT more than that the first day. The ipod must have made them some serious $$$. It was around for a long time.
Sure they earn back that money(may be some wannabe won't). I didn't mean they wasted that 400 dollar, but that 400 dollar can be used for some more meaningful things sure they can make money, but why can't you do something more meaningful, that can actually benefit people
They do it because they can. If I have $400, odds are I'm not gonna want to do something meaningful that can 'benefit' people. If I make a bit more money one day, I'll probably go out and waste it, be it new video games, another new ipod (such as yesterday), or whatever. I think their websites are just funny, and I did support the original smash my ipod.
