There have been many discussions about being smartpriced. I want to make sure I am on the same page, so I will do a braindump of what I know about it and expect you to correct / expand my knowledge. Google and AdSense publishers make money from AdWords. People using AdWords have ways of incorporating ROI (return on investment) analysis. That way they can track which ads are generating more money. Since people do this through Google Analytics a lot, Google now has a good idea of how much each AdSense account/site or even page is worth. That goes as far as even incorporating how much a page is making for a visitor from a specific geographic location for a specific ad. So the economics laws kick in and adapt the profit you as an AdSense publisher make. That's pretty much what I "think" I know about smartpricing. (Please, please, please correct me if I'm wrong. Sharing knowledge is the best thing that ever happened to human kind) Now I have only one question to people with actual experience. How long does it take to get smartpriced? And have you gotten back from being smartpriced? How long does that take? Is this like a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly thing. Or I guess it depends on the kind of traffic you've got. Feedback greatly appreciated! Cheers!
Well it's supposed to be recalculated on a weekly basis, so if you get smartpriced on week you can be back to normal the next. I am seriously smartpriced and have been for a while. I am getting a solid 0.7 to 1 cent per click.
I've been smartpriced for a while now either that or they just don't feel like paying me. I've been getting 1-2 cents per click for the past month or so.
Is this official? Until now I thought that yes smart price existed, but we were only speculating as to how the whole thing works.
