How can I get rid of it? My account gets real low clicks and I have ran a few quality sites for months so Google should have taken notice. Any tips or advice are appreciated.
What are the subjects of your sites?pay day lone, credit card, mortage are the hot topics, where from you will get high priced clicks.
Hello, As far as I noticed from my own experience smartpricing doesn't necessarily have something to do with the topic. Also, the smartpricing doesn't have to be applied on the whole account. I have a site in my account that was bad for adsense and it got smartpriced (CTR is the same, eCPM dropped), but also have other sites that don't suffer from this problem. As for getting rid of smartpricing for a domain, I don't think that's easy to do. As far as I know smart pricing applies when the visitor clicks the ad but doesn't nothing after that. That means that visitor's value = 0 for the advertiser, thus a valid reason for google to apply smart pricing.
Mike Benner! a valid reason for smart pricing?????? IMO there is no valid reason for smart pricing. when you watch a coca-cola commercial while watching your favorite show, do you hurry out to your local supermarket to buy Coke, and if not? does the TV station get less money from Coke because that commercial did not deliver a sale? Or was it Coca Colas responsibility to make an exciting, enticing commercial that will make the viewer of said avertisement want to buy a coke, either now or in the future?
The smart-price issue is actually related to your source of traffic. Those traffic coming from search engines that convert well for the advertiser is the one you should be aiming for.
The solution is amazingly simple, remove Adsense and run some affiliate products related to your niche instead. You will earn more from your site than you would if you weren't smart priced.
Remove all your ads and keep it that way for a few days and them put them back. Thats what I do when my account gets smartpriced.
