Amazingly, a company have created a "smart usb flash drive" with a BCD (bi-stable cholesteric display), which infact is similar, or is, an LCD. It shows the storage information, memory, and other little useful data for the curious. What do youthink of it? would you ever get one for for the oohhs and aahhs?

Very cool, but not necessary at all. I'm not big on toys, and I can't see anyone seeing this product as anything but.

    Still, pretty cool though.

I heard about that but wasn't all that interested :/

I figured if i can get to a cpu to charge the battery I could probably find the battery charger hehe.

I'm big on gadgets but that's too expensive for me. I could get a "normal" 2GB drive for the price of the 256MB version. Once the prices go down I'll probably get one.

Yea, you can just think of this new smart usb flash drive as a flash mp3 player with no mp3 capability and no 3.5mm earphone jack.
