Hey guys, Just a tad confused about smart pricing, If say i had a page that was not really fully set up and i put my brand new adsense code on it for a day and then took it off ( the page was a general article page with stuff about business, insurance, etc.(www.fathom-more.com) would i get smart priced for that because the site was incomplete, and if i had been smart priced would it affect every use of my adsense code from then on? In a nutshell: ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN SMART PRICED IS IT FOR GOOD, AND FOR ANY SITE THAT YOU PUT THE CODE ON? If anyone could clear this up for me then i would most appreciate it.
smartpricing is not for good, it can be removed as often as applied you won't get smartpriced because a page is incomplete but because the clicks are not converting for advertisers ie too many people are clicking without buying anything or taking whatever action is hoped for this will be calculated over a reasonable amount of time, not because a couple of clicks didn't convert, so unless that page had a load of non-converting clicks in the one day it was up (unlikely I think) it won't be a problem and yes, if you are smartpriced it apparently affects all sites in that account (a curious rule) for as long as the smartpricing is applied.
"affects all sites in that account" I'm not too sure about that because many of my websites are getting good money despite some with low converting clicks (5 - 10%).
