Example: I got 2 websites; Website A has 15K impressions a day and a CTR of 3.00% Webstie B has 8K impressions a day and a CTR of 0.60% What would happen if i completely remove the ads from Site B? My total CTR would increase and so my ECPM? Please help me, i am almost in the same situation as my example, and my traffic won't last long. Edit: forgot an 'k' : Webstie B has 8K impressions
hmmm i dont think so,i think your 15k site largly determines the avarage of the 2 site ,if that is what your asking?
Nothing yet... Waiting for answers here But i give more information now: Website A is making 90% of my income and Website B makes only 10% (A had 15K visitors and B 8K)
You could end up making things worse. The way I understand smart pricing works ist that they determine how your clicks convert on the advertisers site (they submit tracking information to google). This means a low CTR doesn't mean a low conversion rate (if anything then the opposite since people make an educated decion to click vs. being fooled into clicking and then hit the back button). The system is not really fair towards the publishers and favors the advertisers (why do I get punished if they cannot convert their traffic, maybe they did a crappy job). Its hard to find out what site really causes it. I am thinking about randomly pulling Adsense from a site and watching my CPM carefully and then onto the next one and so on. I am not willing to give traffic away at these prices. I'd rather not put any ads on my site then handing my visitors over for 2cents a piece.
