I'd first suggest a romp through the threads here, it's been discussed quite heavily in the last few days. :)

No escape. Just ensure your site become a worth place for advertisers. They want ROI>

As far as I know, there is no escaping this. I've had sites built with free articles on golf, home improvement, gardening, etc, and they fluctuate from earning $0.01 to $0.30 per click. About the only site that does well is the one on loans and mortgages. $0.50 and $1.00 per click is the norm. Choosing your niche or industry is very important - if your niche is about expensive products and services and your articles are written in a way to warm your visitors up to buy something, it's possible that you won't be Smartpriced (possible, but not guaranteed).

Anyway, there are too many other factors to consider, and no one really knows the answer for sure.

    Good luck.

The only real way of escaping?

A different PPC service or afiliate program. Really smart pricing has hurt one of my sites badly, and I immediately switched out to an affiliate program. Did somewhat better after the switch.
