Does anyone know of any companies where you can bid on pay-per-click keywords other than Overture & Google Adwords. Sites that charge less than .10 cents a click min.

    Thanks,

Well, you can get 0.01 PPC from Ad-Brite. if you don't mind non-english traffic. Still some bargains under 0.10 if you look.
Mind you, I haven't used Ad-Brite, just going by what they offer.

I am not sure what you mean. I am not advertising anyone. the web site is a useful resource for anyone looking for reviews of PPC search engines.

I am a cybrarian, it is what I am good at.

With ppc engines, I find their traffic far too incentivized to do much besides artificial stats boosting. That, and/or they don't have enough traffic to drain the account in meaningful time. I don't mind it going slow, say 2 years for $25 to drain, but then I want my bids to be at 0.01 (yes I'm spoiled rotten, but that's the way it should be).
The only ppc engine I have found that has sufficient traffic to allow 0.01 bids AND still drains the account in reasonable time is goclick.com. They offer light discounts for heavier deposits but I recommend starting with the minimum ($25) until you get a feel for things - goclick is a tough engine, the second-strongest ppc on the Web, so bid low :)

As for Adbrite, the ppc rates listed are an approximation (a computerized guess) as to how many clicks a site SHOULD get for the money put up for an ad to run a certain length of time - Thus you pay x-amount to advertise for x-days / weeks / months / etc and this x is a fixed amount, it is paid regardless of clicks. That having been said, over 90 percent of sites get less than 10,000 data requests / week, and the nagging questions concerning the (way) higher than average statistics is ultimately something I could not tolerate.

I did, over time, find a small site in a somewhat related niche which has their own ppc script implemented (so it's a regular site which sells a FEW {3 to be exact} ppc links, listed in a small box on the main page). The traffic is slow, but at 0.01 and decent exposure plus it's not incentivised AND google spiders it, I can not complain.
I found two more sites which send a fair amount of traffic for a flat monthly fee (one is $20, the other is $80 - per month) - Pay the money direct to them, they put my ad up, it's not exactly 0.01 but it's also not as slow, google spiders it and once again, I am at least somewhat pleased.

    Thus:
    - It takes time to find little out of the way places where you can advertise.
    - It takes even longer to find the few that suit, not to mention those you can trust.
    - With some, it's a click here, a click there, with others it's 50-100 (maybe 200) visitors/day.
    - You will, over time, find your niche, the little corner where it's just you and a few others AND the traffic / price is decent.
And once you get that, you're far away from the top of the Web and no longer in the way of that crazy war. Things are quiet and peaceful while a few webmasters do a little bit of paid click-trading, it's the way things are.

    Good luck.
