That idiots in smallbusinessnewz is spamming my inbox and not honoring my unsubscription to the smallbusinessnewz.com news letter. Thats a news letter I dont want, but www.smallbusinessnewz.com dont care about me unsubscribing. What a spam company. Do any of you others here get that spam from the smallbusinessnewz idiot company?
i think if you still get spams, you could probably contact their host and submit abuse info since you can provide proof of unsubscribing.
I cant prove unsubscribing, you just go to a site outside smallbusinessnewz when you hit the unsubscribe button.
The same problem for me too. I subscribed to their newsletter thinking that at any time I may unsubscribe but now I couldn't come out of the clutches of it. Any way it goes to the spam folder where I mercilessly delete it, There is no other go
I could send it to the spam folder yes, but smallbusinessnewz have no respect for people so I expose them here. I know this thread will rank in Google so more people will know how bad they conduct their business
For me I give up on unsubscribing, I think when you unsubscribe, you are "confirmed" as they know that their emails reached a live person and would be sold as more premium spamming lists to others resulting in more spams
Yes wisdomtool, that is very true and a good advice. I never unsubscribe from anything, but smallbusinessnewz.com is featured many places so I mistook it for a serious company.
You could gather a few people who're being spammed by the website in question and get everyone to report to their host. Mass reporting won't go unnoticed. Even if the host doesn't do anything serious, they'll at least look into the matter and possibly get the site to stop spamming people. But as widomtool says, your email has probably been sold to a lot of webmasters already (maybe even right here on DP) So, just sit back and hope your spam filter does a good job.
its because you submitted to their directories. inclusion in the directories means you have to get those.
Not actually, some directories do have a click button for you to click to receive emails, some do not specify and so even claim they do not use your emails other then for verification. So unless you opt in for some directories and they explicitly say that they are sending you newsletters, no reason why you should get them. Also unsubscribe is mandatory if they are sending newsletters.

And yes, I am sure it is because the directory, but that does not matter, I still cant unsubscribe. WOW. I am impressed. This thread ranks in Google already. Web masters, what can we learn from that?
