    Open index.php of the wordpress theme and look for

    Look for

    <?php the_content('Read the rest of this entry »'); ?>
    Code (markup):
    and replace with

    <?php the_excerpt('Read the rest of this entry »'); ?>
    Code (markup):
    This will line up posts with summary.

    DON.

    You can also use a plugin like Excerpt Reloaded. It gives you more flexibility -- there is a 55 word limit and HTML tags are stripped when using the standard the_excerpt tag.
