I am familair with the basic techniques to optimize the three main search engines.

However, I am curious about optimizing sites for companies (small markets) in which you have little control over the website itself.

    For example,

my brother works for a used car dealership and would like for their site to increase in SERPS for very specific keyword that would at most have 4 competitors.

    used cars bumfrignowhere georgia

He is unable to change the verbage or structure of the site but is curious if article marketing would work to increase the Google SERPS for used cars bumfrignowhere georgia.

or at the very least, what small changes would he need to make for the article maketing to work. what i mean is this?

does google correlate the link anchor text with h1 tags or title tags or does it matter?

    Thanks!
