Small site network question

    Hello

    I have 4 sites on the same subject. One of them has all the content the other three have and it is the main site that I apply SEO. The other three also have some decent traffic.

    The main site is in a different server and the other three are on the same.The content for all 4 sites is rewritten.Actually each of the other three sites has a portion (roughly 1/3) of the main site with the content rewritten from scratch.

    I was thinking placing a link in each page of the other 3 sites linking to my main site.Would that be ok ?Would it seem suspicious due to the fact that these links ,although from different sites,would come from the same ip ?Should it be better to place that link only to the one of the three sites with the bigger PR ?

    Please tell me your opinion :)

    First of all u must have the unique content for your mail site and other sites other wise there is a chances of penalties in Search Engines
    and about links i would like to suggest u that your 3 other sites are hosted on same server so ip will be same and google have this info so it will not give weight for each other but if u put link of your mail site which is hosted on other server that it is ok.

    Yes i forgot to say(i edited my main post too) that content for all 4 sites is rewritten.Actually each of the other three sites has an 1/4 of the main site with the content rewritten from scratch :)

    I think it's a good idea ...

    You should not face any penalty if the content is no duplicate ...
    However, what is the purpose of the 3 smaller sites? If they live to make the 1 site bigger, you should add the links. Adding the links on every page of the small site will transfer PR from them to the main site. If you want to promote and grow the smaller sites apart from the bigger one, you shouldn't link too much since it will devalue the PR given from internal linking.
