Small site displayed in search in less than 2 days.

I'm just a newbie to SEO and I never thought that a very small site (it has less than 15 pages) that went online just 2 days ago could be displayed in the search results. I checked today and couldn't belive my eyes. All i did was to subscribe it to a few directories (probably google didn't have time to index those subscriptions).
    I'm so happy.
Please tell me your opinion about this, is something unusual, or you see this every day ?
    Thanks.

    Congrats :)

A link from a popular page to your site also helps Google to index your site faster. Now.. i hope that my site gets indexed soon..

To get indexed by google is simple. Just submit on their pages when you upload your files to your server, and then you can see that googlebot keeps visiting your website. After that minimum 2 days, and maximum 30 days, your website will be get indexed.

This is google. They are the strongest search engines of the world!

Not unusual but usually takes a little longer.

Yah, getting index and include in search results is ok, but getting good SERP is not that easy;)

    10x for answers.
well i don't think that it has good SERP :) but it is already in the first 2 pages for a few keywords and that is sooooooooo nice :D
@Sohan: i submitted it to like about 10 directories but now i don't know how good are they and if google reached those links. i will keep you in touch.
@hheng: yes, i have submitted on their page. Prabably is beacause of this.

Created a informative and helpful new site about a new gadget, with AdSense, posted just one link to it in relevant forum, and organic growth of incoming links was started.

    immediate Mediapartners bot visit
    1 day - Googlebot visit
    6 days - referrer from www.google.com page1 SERP

    6 days - msnbot visit
    10 days - referrer from search.msn.com page1 SERP

5 days - Yahoo Slurp bot visit
    zero referrers so far

    *gaching!*

You're off to a good start!
For me it took about a week for MSN to start indexing me, Google about 20-30 days, and Yahoo even longer..
Good luck with your new internet empire!:D

Its funny to see changes like this., my site got indexed within a few hours of registering that domain and was indexed without any site on it or any inbound links to it.
