    The first question is not really a riddle... it's so easy.

    The second about the time...the explanation is because he's using the military time format...which is 24 hours instead of 12 hours.

    I've got another one, The rooster laid 5 eggs in the nest. How many eggs did the rooster lay?

    well mathematically speaking 4 times but maybe you mean once you take out four from 16 it won't be 16 anymore so only once (darn trying to outguess tricky minds)
