Are you paying on GROSS revenue or NET revenue?

Due diligence here everyone. Scumbags will REDEFINE payment terms AFTER payment is due!

I do, and I think that due diligence will reveal who that is.

EDIT: Spoilt One (aka @Spoiltdiva), a cry baby has reported all posts in this thread (as well as several other threads), including your post. Don't know why he is wasting his time. His time would be better spent learning how to become a professional at something other than stealing.

I can all but agree to what I think you are pointing at. This guy asked me to transfer everything to him and then he is gonna pay. I refused and he says that all of us are scammers. What a loser! Definitely a scumbag.

Yeah, use your big mouth and shout all words you can say. I was scammed by a member with 45 likes on DP in 2013 and now i am more careful with people on dp.

If you got scammed by someone, that doesn't mean you swear at those who you are dealing with, when it comes to business. With all the nuisance you created in the PM, I can be more than happy to share a screenshot here.

That's a good idea. At least you won't be scamming people that way.

You have serious mental health issues, you are one of the biggest scammers around here, you agree a price with someone to do a job and then refuse to pay them what was agreed, you are a liar and a thief. when are you going to realise your reputation is worth less than shit round here?

He is a scammer and an all around scumbag. I can't imagine why he is still allowed to be here. He is bad for the site and bad for the site's reputation. For what it's worth, I strongly advocate that he be banned.

It is sir *if* you have developed a reputation for non payment as you have. You see, there is a trust issue here. So I don't blame her one bit for her take on this.

    No.

But getting the website THEN refusing to pay WOULD be scamming. Based on your reputation, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN!

YOUR DISHONORABLE REPUTATION REQUIRES US TO GET THE MONEY FIRST.

I have brought out hosts in the past. It is not always easy to handle the changeover. One thing that is a good idea, is to use namecheap as the "escrow". This is not 100% suitable for a hosting company transaction, but if it is under $1000 total, then heres the idea:
    1. both meet on skype, both confirm total price
    2. seller lists main hosting domain in namecheap for sale for agreed price, sends you the link to the domain.
    3. within 1 minute from it being listed, you should be able to find the domain, add it to your cart, and purchase it.

You now have the domain, and they have money. In this situation, you can STILL be scammed, but it is one way to reduce your exposure. But just to continue:

    4. information needed to access the server, and or even access to the account where the server is rented from should be handed over by the seller. Any other assets (domains for nameservers perhaps) are pushed to you.
    5. within 24 hours, you have the server moved from the previous owners account, into your own account. Start resetting all critical passwords.

If you are doing something more complicated, custom software, licenses, multiple domains, then one way is to just use escrow for everything (can still be messy), or break it into manageable milestones. Such as, pay 50% of a license, when its transferred, pay remainder.

Hate seeing people be scammed, be it buyers or sellers, and there is no 100% safe way to avoid this.

Totally agree with it. Although you find scammers quite often in this 'web' world. Better stay alert and be proactive.
