    Use it for branding, reputation management, it could help in a viral campaign for link building, the traffic is junk for most niches and the links aren't any good.

    It helps in branding and also help to get traffic if we join related groups(friends)

    I think facebook mostly help by traffic......back link is not that much effective from facebook as far as I understand
