Hi guys, I need your opinion about reaching out to small business owners when marketing online. Is this a good idea too? How open are online small business owners to this? Thank you.
For what reason are you reaching out to them? Small business owners are looking to create money, not theory - Need to be clear So be aware that you will get very blunt and fast reactions.
Concentrate your message on what problems you are solving for those business owners. Get as specific as you can. For instance, you may be solving problems small accounting firms have with getting referrals from other practices, or the problem of effectively promoting the small manufacturer to prospective clients. This is much more powerful than features & benefits. Small businesses typically have cash flow issues and if you can show them how you make or save them money, that will be valuable to them.
Hi, I got your point. I am just curious if these small business owners happen to have an organization where they can gather and talk strategies... help others out...
Well there is no harm in reaching small businesses but it is better to first ensure that the business that you are reaching will be there after few years so the investment you make for investment really keeps giving you the returns that you want from it.
Marketing online is the best thing for small businesses. Whether you are a small business and employ online marketing, or if you are marketing toward small businesses, this is a good idea all around. The Internet has become the most pervasive means for just about everything: ecommerce, news, society, and especially marketing.
Its ok that you want to be small business owner. but what type of business you want to do? Marketing strategy greatly depend on the types of business.
Yes, every county or area typically have a small business meeting of some sort. Look up " Chamber of Commerce " in your area or meet with a local banker to see if they are aware of any small business meetings..
It would also be good to check out Meetup.com They have all kinds of business, small business, networking events and local meetings of every kind listed in your area. It is a great resource and it is free to join. You can also start your own group or meeting in your area on Meetup!
I would agree. That would definitely agree with their point of reaching you or what really are their reasons of doing so.
small business personals always seek the opportunity which can improve their business in marketing competition. That's what I can guess
Hi, Small businesses definitely need to market online and in theory should be open to it; however, they are being swamped with solicitations. Many of the solicitations they get are from people who make unrealistic promises (e.g. guarantee page one results without regard to the competition etc.). It is very hard for small businesses to wade through all the offers they get since many are not knowledgeable about SEO etc. They do not know what to believe. I had a client for years that kept questioning us every time renewal came up because he kept getting offers that seemed too good to refuse. After a 2 month hiatus, he is now back with us (he says older and smarter). Thus, I suggest making sure that your message is very clear and that you do not make unrealistic promises which will just burn you and the client in the end.
How can small business owners just like me find a good marketing tools or idea in this forum. Your suggestions is much appreciated in advance. Thanks
in all type of buisnesses always rememeber one thing that there is sometimes profit and sometimes loss.that is buisness but you should be prepared for your losses and be able to earn profits from that losses also,if you want to become a good buisness man
I would look to reach out to local forums or marketing convetions where you could go meet small business owners in person. The quality of a connection and relationship you can build is infinitely beyond the connections made online/phone, its just not the same as meeting people in person.
