Well this is a movies which we should watch and it's have good story line based on Kon Banega Karorpati of Indian Television show. I like the music and story and even awards from Best Music from Golden Globe Award is enough to say beside of winning best director award for Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy swept off the best screenplay.
Well, the movie was pretty good and I really liked it. The music is awesome and all the credits go to A.R. Rehman for creating such a superb music.
Its a fairly amazing movie. My only gripe, which isnt really even about the movie itself but more the TV ad is that they dont tell you anything about the movie it just says how good it is and all its awards, which I dont like.
I saw it and loved it. Will it win Best Picture? Probably not........too many flaws due to its low budget! (at one point while Jamal is being questioned in the Police Station, a microphone boom dips into the upper right corner of the screen) Boyle should have done more research about how "Millionaire" is taped before a studio audience, usually 2-3 weeks before the air date. Everyone who is not a MORON knows that all "lifelines" are checked out before the show is taped, so there is no embarrassing situation where the Phone-A-Friend doesn't answer the phone on National TV. These plot contrivances were completely unnecessary, had Boyle spend more MONEY AND TIME, researching Indian culture, he would have found out there is no "1,000,000" in the Indian currency. Fact: Mercedes-Benz paid an undisclosed sum to the film's producers to "airbrush" out the Mercedes logo from the various taxis, cars, trucks, and buses depicted in the slums of Mumbai. Apparently the car maker did not want to have their premium brand tarnished by the poverty stricken images. My final gripe is the "production number" at the end of the film. That is so "Bollywood" and is becoming almost a cliche' now that you see it being done in every Gurinder Chadha film released these days.
It was a nice movie watched it...but I agree to DJMC....There are flows in every movie but here when you go deep to something then all should be shown as it is in real (like broadcasting, phone a friend mentioned above by DJMC). Great music... chance to win oscar movie award? what you all say?
