    Hey guys,

My website: http://www.hedgeagainstspeculation.com seems to be loading much slower than before, do you guys know what I can do to speed it up? It could be the pictures...but I've seen many other sites who have more pictures than I do and their pages load faster...

Also, I noticed that on a few computers, my content doesn't show up till after the sidebar?...how does it look on your computer?

    Hi,
It takes around 6 seconds for your website to load and I'm on a 4MB connection. And yes the content only loads up when the sidebar has finished loading.

    Hope this helps.

Ya, that is so strange. 6 seconds is pretty slow..., my content used to load first before my sidebar...not sure why it`s like that now.

It loads very slowly. I took off and read some other stuff when I noticed that it finished loading. Maybe you can check with your hosting.

The sidebar loads first because of the structure of the HTML, the sidebar content is first in the HTML and is floated off to the right.

The whole site loads slow simply because of the amount of items and possible inefficient ordering of components to be downloaded.

You can diagnose the problem further with the Firefox browser extensions: Firebug and YSlow (why slow?), do a force-reload (Ctrl+F5) to bypass cache for best results.

Not about load time, but FYI, I checked in my other browser - in IE6 the page is broken (no content on the page, it all appears below the sidebar)
