Slow file opening on startup

    We have 5 workstations and on one of the workstations it takes 10-15 seconds to open each file on startup. Once loaded Optigold performs fine. The other 4 workstations open the files in 2-3 seconds each. All workstations are running Filemaker Pro 5.0 and the Server is running Filemaker Server 5.0. The problem workstation is running XPPRO SP2 and others are various W2KPRO/XPPROSP2. Server is Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition. It was slow before on an NT 4.0 Server. This workstation has been starting slow before XPPRO SP2. Optigold version is 3.3.2. Any ideas on how to fix or troubleshoot?

    Is that machine on the same local subnet as the other computers plugged into the same hub/switch?

    Yes. All computers are on 192.168.1.X/24.

    One thing you may want to check is the actual network cable (replace it on that computer). I've seen something similar (only once though), where it ended up being the cable itself.
