Slow access to my sites

    Hosting support installed php 5 on my dedicated server like hour ago and now when I access my sites they are waaay tooo slow!
    When I ping them everything looks fine but when I access them via web browser they are slow.
    Also, when I access them via ftp protocol it's all ok.
    Could it be DNS problem? Or http server acting up?

    PHP 5 as nothing to do with DNS.

    Maybe it need to be recompiled.
