Slightly newer than new diet program seeking feedback

I'm very proud of the product... the website still needs some tweaks to the sales letter. All critisism... constructive and destructive is welcome :)

The product has several unique hooks which makes it very easy to review.

At it's heart the system utilizes a mindful eating approach called somaception. Somaception is a coined word that is unique to this program... which makes crafting reviews and campaigns a cinch.

Now here is the important but controversial bit... I do not make specific weight-loss claims on the site. I'm going to start another thread discussing why... since it's bound to be a hot topic, but basically it's to build a campaign that can last and steer clear of any potential future FTC actions.

At any rate here is a screen:

    and here is the url:
    www.dietshock.com
This is a 75% program with no affilates... and thus no tracking info as of yet.

    Don't hold back, Thanks :)

    Very good and unique.
    1. You have the perfect first page to capture an email address. The content is short, to the point, and captures my interest to read on. I would definately do this. Replace the "Find out how stuff" with the email capture. Now, what that would do is get rid of your affiliates. The choice is yours.

    2. You have way too many click thrus to the next page. Never go over 3. You will lose customers that way.

I think you have a winner. Good luck!!

Thanks a ton for the critique, zeek! I'll work on combining a couple of pages.

If any of you superstars want to affilate that would be keen. My clickbank vendor id is "dietshock"

I like it! I like how the sales pitch is broken up into several short pages that load extremely quickly. Keeps the readers interested and not have a feeling of being overwhelmed by long one page sales pitches.

Not to mention, with Google Analytics, you can track hits/visits to each page and can see how many people make it to the last page compared to the first page. Could provide you with a very interesting statistic to work with.

I definitely would NOT put an email capture on the first page and force people to enter an email address to make it to the second page. This will drive a lot of people away as many people don't want to be forced to give up their address just to see the next page on your site. You want as many affiliates as possible so don't do anything to drive those click-thru's away.

What you could do is have an optional email capture that allows people to sign up to receive a newsletter with more information on the product and bring them back to your site so the affiliate can still get credit for the sale when they do come back.

Other than that, just keep tweaking and testing your sales pitch to maximize conversions. The more your product converts, the more you and your affiliates will make money!

Lastly, I'd throw up an affilites area to help them get their landing and promotional pages, or PTC ads up and running quickly.

    Just my two cents.

Yes. What I was trying to say is with the email address on the first page, you would have to sell your product on your own. And, I think you could easily do it and keep all of the profits instead of having affiliates. Your product and page is that good, in my opinion.

nyxano is certainly correct with regards to putting the email signup on the page. I, as an affiliate, do not promote any product that captures email addresses or has an other payment option other than CB. Affiliates lose a lot of sales like that. And yes, as far as clickbank goes, finding products like that is difficult.:)

Zeek buddy, you're making my chest hurt with the pride related swelling. :) I'm sticking to affilate marketing for this because I think it's the best way to get the word out.

Alright you gentle hustling giants, I've pumped up my pitch page. I've added significant amounts of teh sexy and tweaked the sales letter:

    www.dietshock.com/page5.html

The best way to sell this program is bum / social proof. The advantage we all have with this program is that it actually works. I'm building real testimonials right now. Here is a quote from Dan:

Cornily enough the best way to sell this program is to sell yourself. People that have had diet success become evangelists. Think about The Subway Diet, and just how ridiculous that actually is. A diet that consists of highly processed, high nitrate, high sodium, high calorie... but one goofy cat has some success and it creates a movement.

Real stories are really powerful. I believe the best way to sell this is to genuinely try it and blog it.

As always I'm open to any advice about the pitch or resources that you folks need.

I think it looks ok. I'd add some kind of opt in form though. You've gotta be collecting leads. Don't make it a squeeze, page, but give something away. Clickbank will cookie people when they click your affiliate link, so as long as the vendor isn't using his own affiliate links in the email follow up, then there's no reason to worry about losing commissions.

Also, I'd get the page converting on your own before you recruit affiliates. If they all try and promote it and fail, you'll end up back at square one. Test it with some PPC traffic, create some youtube videos about your diet methodology and once you've got some traction, hit up some affiliates, build some JV relationships.

One thing I've done in the fitness industry is to do some interviews. They work great for building relationships, you get to make affiliate commissions on the backend and your subscribers get some great content.

    Hope that helps,
    Sean
