Slider code from a WP theme

I'm very new to web design, so I apologize if I this seems elemental. I am in the process of learning css and other basic web development schtuff.

I am making a website for someone, and they would like a slider on the front page. I use elegantthemes. The theme I'm using doesn't have a slider option. I'd like to take the code for a slider from a different theme (which I have access to) and use it.

This is the theme that has the slider I'd like to use: www. elegantthemes. com/preview/Modest/
This is the theme that I am customizing for the client: www.elegantthemes. com/preview/Glider/

    Ultimately, I need help:
    1. finding the code in the theme files
    2. placing the code in the theme I am going to use.
I would appreciate any help with either or both!

    Thanks!

why you are looking for post...just use featured content gallery plugin. Install plugin and paste gallery code where you want to make slide.

To be frank, ElegantThemes are more extensive than normal wordpress themes and Nick brings out new things in every theme. So, not many people here would be able to provide you with the best solutions especially in advanced customizations as the ones you are trying to use. It would be better if you post the question directly at the official support forums at ElegantThemes as that is a very active community. I had logged in there just an hour ago and so, can confirm the same. :p So, just post it there and you will find a lot better support there for sure.

I'm trying that out now, however I'd like a specific slider. Looks very nice, not a basic one like this plugin does. Thanks for the plugin reference though!

Just google for "Wordpress Slider Plugins", there are plenty of options available, and lots of demos to see which is best for you.

Use vslider or wp cycle . Both are good and easy. Vslider is more professional .
