...curious to find out the general consensus of opinion as to what is the ultimate WordPress install and posting scenario. I tend to run Wordpress at lean and lite as possible with just either headspace or ultimate seo as a critical plug in. Then remove all links out, meta widget, archives, calenders and fluff I currently have around 30 Wp installs and find for optimum performance a new post is to be added every 3 to 5 days. The home or index page is usually dynamic and three posts long. The problem I find with Wordpress is that you can become a victim of your success and become a virtual slave if the intention is to keep high in the serps. Is there anyone here who loves WP for its performance but feels under constant pressure due its lack of stickibilty should unique content not be added every x amount of days.
I use Wordpress for a lot of static sites, purely for the categorizing and search functions. I create a theme, enter all my content as posts and pages, and then walk away
