Right now i just wanna go to a community college and then transfer. Would it be ok if i slack off my senior year?
Uh... do whatever you want? Why are you asking the members of DP if you should be a dumbass? Hey, if you want to be a slacker... why even bother going to a community college? I mean, you could just work at McDonalds for the rest of your life! Weirdo.
Coming from a high school teacher, your slacking now will cost you in college. Those that excel in college are those who challenge themselves during their last 2 years of high school. Even most community colleges are raising their standards so those who are not prepared for the workload struggle to make it. Work hard as a senior and you can roll right into college with ease.
Slack now and you may regret it later. But how much slacking are we talking about? If you have a 4.0 and you are planning on failing everything, then no, don't blow it. If you are just pulling a 2.5 and want to skip a few classes but still maintain your 2.5. Go ahead...
If you're going to CC anyway, go ahead and slack off. High school is worthless from an academic perspective. I know people who were C students and lower their final year of high school, went to a CC, and have since transferred to an Ivy League college. I won't name which Ivy League school, but let's just call it C. University. No wait, Cornell U. is better. A good percentage of their students are actually transfers from CC and other non-4-year college programs. I hope the Ivy League facade I just knocked over didn't hit anyone on the head.
I regret slacking in high school, it cost me came out with awful grades never realized that they really do help untill I left .
You could do nothing this year and then pay money next year to take the classes you didn't do, or you could do classes for free this year and not have to pay for them next year. :]
boy, i did the most possible slacking ever in senior high. bad regret high school transcripts will still be sent in a transfer i believe
I wouldn't do that. Strive to earn higher grades so your transcript will look inpressive to the school you are about to enroll into.
Slacking off during the last few months would be okay, since you've really got nothing left to prove to colleges in that time span. However, that still doesn't mean you should fail everything.
but what is slacking off? we have to define it in our own sense for me it was full on - no homework, no studying, no listening in class it earned me some dubious grades. so, what is your terms of slacking off?
dont slack off..... senior year is so easy compared to college level work... if u slack off in high school, whats to say you wont slack off in college? dick, dont be a slacker
I did and I did ok afterwards, especially if your going to a community college or have been accepted into college. In fact most colleges largely look at your sophomore and junior year.
I'm in my first year of college and I didn't do much work my senior year, though I must admit, it's really not expected of you. My school planned so many great activities for the seniors, it was just astounding and tons of fun.
