I asked for quotes from people willing to sell their "recent blog post" here on dp... And I got this PM from a guy with less then 1k posts... yikes...
some people is just plain retard. Whenever someone start a WTB thread, those people come up crazy price... off topic, you can have my avatar, location and blog feed for $ 35 a month
Time out. Did you just say "some people is just plain retard"? lol. That price does seem a bit high. I sold mine for like $15/month I believe. It just depends who you're talking to on how much it'll cost. Those links do get quite a bit of clicks...
lol thats pretty funny My recent blog doesn't seem to get many clicks :/ guess my blog isn't interesting (or just isn't updated enough...i'm lazy leave me be)
I guess it depends if that person thinks he or she is worth that much. IMO its not worth that mutch unless its a big member here as people dont click on them as much as you would think. Sig links are better of for that sorta thing.
i beg to differ, but a latest blog post stands out and it has to have an eye catching title to get clicks, a sig link is fine for one thing, but a blog link is worth much more in my eye's as you have the power to reach more people with different titles you control and change at will. you cant ask someone to change their sig link for you every few hours for a month can you?
I guess I base my thoughts on myself, probablly because its newer then sig links so for me I just tend to like sig links.
Unless the person selling you his or her recent blog feed has around 20k posts, its quite expensive unlike mine for only $10 a month
He probably added the zero by mistake Even then, $ 15 for a month is quite high for a guy with less than thousand posts. Blog Links do bring in a fair bit of traffic, especially if the headlines are catchy.
The recent blog post is more valuable than the signature links IMO, especially as they update daily/weekly...
The visibility also depends on the length of the user name, as well as the title of the latest blog post. For example, Brennan's recent blog looks cleaner in comparison to yours truly . The distinction between the user name and the link to the blog is quite clear. There are cases where the username dwarfs the text in the recent blog, and you do not feel as inclined to click it.
Recent blog post may be more valuable, but I am having a hard time looking for someone to rent mine unlike signature links which seems to always have a market.
