This is a bit of a long shot but I figured I'd ask. We want to implement 24/7 voice customer support for one of our sites. We have people working for us part-time in different parts of the world so we have the manpower to do this. The challenge is coordinating when a call comes in and making sure it gets routed to the right place. We'd love to leverage Skype so what we were thinking was having a system where when one of our team members is online and available it would show in our system as logged in. Then a customer could connect to skype user ID (e.g., ourcompanydotcom) and it would automatically route the call to that team member. If there were multiple team members available it would just select one at random. Does anyone know if there is a solution out there that allows for this? If not, is there another way that we might be able to accomplish something similar. We're looking for a solution that's very easy to get up and running and inexpensive. Thanks!
You could all just login to skype under the same username and have a skypein number. When someone calls it will ring in all locations that are signed on. If no one answers, it can be set to forward to another number or go to voicemail.
