Skype and Apache collision?

    I have apache installed via wamp (2.2.8) and when I try to activate it while skype is on the service just won't go up, after many trials i discovered it was probably the skype and once I exit skype the service comes on smoothly

    Anyone experienced this weird problem? does it make sense? why would both programs collide?

    btw, when apache is running i'm able to turn on skype again... strange

    For default, skype uses the port 80 for incoming connections. You can change it at the settings.
