Skyfall: The Sequester Horror - Share your story

Something must be done! The obstructionist Republicans in Congress and their evil plans to ruin this great country have taken our lives in a significantly worse direction. Their infliction of this dark plague called "the Sequester" has created real, tangible, and measurable tragedy in the lives of every day Americans, and I've created this thread to live blog the horror as it happens, so we can remember who needs to be punished on election day.

Mar. 1st, 5:00 pm The One Love Patient's Association medical marijuana dispensary, operating within the bounds of state law closes its doors for the day without some jack booted thug from the federal government threatening to smash its display cases and seize it's product if it doesn't close its doors! Oh the calamity! Can refer madness and a collapse of our society be far behind?


Mar. 1st, 7:00 pm While driving on one of California's toll roads at a speed approaching 90mph, burning $4.39a gallon gas, the transponder in my vehicle was slower than usual to beep while passing the toll station to inform me that the government had withdrawn $4.52 for driving on that particular eight mile segment of highway. Certainly large traffic delays and a collapse of our interstate road system will soon follow.

 

Mar. 3rd 4:32 pm Third day of the sequester and cats have begun living with dogs. God help us.

Monday, March 4th 10:32am EST Dow falls by 50 points as market realizes sequester cuts are real. Get ready to stand in a soup line! Damn those House Republicans for carrying out Obama's plan!

 

It's a nightmare. After writing that post, I just crawled back into bed and slept all day. I wonder what March 5th will bring?

 

Tuesday, Mar. 5 10:05 am EST Sequester cuts have created a jumpy market in which the Dow has hit it's all time high. Markets are clearly spooked by these extremist tea party Republicans and their strange ideas of cutting government spending, and not knowing what to do, they have gone up. The end is likely at hand. We are likely only weeks away from the sick and the elderly being wheeled into the streets to rot and starve. Disaster is upon us. Save us Obama! Save us!

 

The sequester is sending shock waves around the world. Hugo Chavez dead. The Middle East is in turmoil. Iran battling giant mutant rats with snipers. Can't wait for the Sequester News Update for Wednesday March 06!

Thurs, March 7th 2003, 8:39PST Today I was fired from my job thanks to the obstructionist Republicans and their support for the Sequester. Oh sure, my boss cited a litany of reasons that had nothing to do with the sequester, but any thinking individual could recognizes those ridiculous reasons for the farce they are, and put blame where it belongs..... House Republicans.

Seriously, is it a firing offense to troll the DigitalPoint forums P&R section for hours on end during working hours? Is it a firing offense to make Google searches for goat porn, midget porn, Muslim gay bars, and naked pictures of Nancy Pelosi from a company computer? Who cares if I keep a bottle of vodka in my desk drawer to take the edge off my morning long cocaine hangover. That is none of my employer's concern. So what if I forgot to put on pants before leaving the house this morning. House Republicans and the Sequester are to blame. Now it's personal.

 

It is all lies. I can prove it.

1) U.S. Congress is located in Washington, D.C. and not in California.
2) No way, we can accept that you are a congressman.

 

Fri, March 8th 2013, 5:05pm Day 8 of the Sequester, and the world is coming unglued. My wife left me yesterday for a Mercedes driving Republican, taking the kids and the dog with her. As she walked out the door, she told me to sober up and get a job, the heartless b*tch. I blame the Republicans in Congress.

I've been watching MSNBC for nearly 36 hours straight, hoping Obama will make an appearance and give the all clear signal, but no luck so far. At least I have Ed Shultz and Rachel Maddow to explain things to me though nothing seems to makes any sense.

The stock market is cresting new highs, the jobs numbers show unemployment dipping to new lows, with hundreds of thousands of new jobs appearing. All my friends who work for the government still have their jobs. Surely catastrophe is just around the corner.

I heard the Sequester has eliminated the budget for guided White House tours, though strangely, I didn't hear that any of the people who provide that service actually lost their jobs. At least the heartless Republicans have left enough money for Obama to take a rare break from his tireless work, so he can play some golf with Tiger. I tell ya, that man never stops looking out for the little people. God bless you Mr. Obama. God bless you.
