I've just had a *huge* misunderstanding with a designer that I talked to. This is the first time that I've worked with a designer, so I may not be familiar with terminology. But, can I ask you guys: is this my misunderstanding? I thought that I asked him to create a skin for a forum. Here are some quotes from our conversation: So, I thought I was set: $150 for a forum skin in vBulletin. We went back and forth and he sent me jpgs with what the skin would look like. I thought that it would be a prototype for what would be in my vBulletin forum in a few days. Several days later... Is this correct? Have I been vague at describing what I needed? And/or did I misunderstand what he "confirmed"? ("the price for this will be forum skin normal70+30side profile part+50 usd homepage design") Thanks for your advice.
I would say yes.. they way I read what parts you provided he understood design and only design. I'm even a tad unsure of what you were asking him and assumed you meant design and install of the skin. Yeah.. made a few of those blunders not being clear myself. I've learned to be very precise when working with super geeks.
Okay - Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that it was a miscommunication on my part, and get a second opinion. Thanks!
