I recently was selling link on my website and someone bought an article post on my website. (Unique page with his keywords/links in the content).

With a sidewide link pointing to the article, How good is this for SEO?

sitewide links dont work the way it used to work before. you used to get credit for every single backlinks but now, after few pages, google discounts the rest of the links so its not as useful as it has been in the past.

if someone is building links for inner pages, then thats fine. often people will target main keywords on the main page and additional long tail keywords on the inner pages

But what i mean is rather than just purchasing a blogpost, purchase a sitewide link pointing internlly to the blogpost, would this be more benificial than just purchasing a blogpost, which will probably never have pagerank!
