    Hi,

All experts are there, I wanted to done a sitewide link exchange with website. But i have some confusion regarding sitewide link exchange.

    1) If I use my main keyword in sitewide link exchange then it will be useful for my website for that keyword SERP Boost or not?
    2) If site have more then 10,000 pages then same link came from same website and same anchor it will count as ANCHOR SPAMMING?
    3) It is a good idea to only done a sitewide link exchange with a smaller website which have fewer than 100 pages?
    4) If I use less competitive keyword in sitewide link exchange then it will be useful for me.
    5) It takes some penalties from Google?

Any answer is appreciated, thank you in advance

I'm not sure on this but i've heard that it does penalize you if you are still in the Google Sandbox but i've heard that in the long run the negative effects of it are far outweighed by the positive. Haven't confirmed this though

Buying links exclusively for search engine value is just a bad practice. My feeling is that sitewide links should really be designed to attract human visitors. Sure maybe there is some search engine benefit, but this should be a bonus, not the prime objective.

It shouldn't be, I mean think about it. Most links you see to Google are simply "Google".

The honest truth is that nobody but some engineers deep inside of Google knows how site wide links are treated (maybe they don't know either) and I'm sure none of them would tell us the complete truth. This is one reason why I say to buy links that will help bring in human traffic not just for back links.

The advertisers who have stayed with my site the longest are the ones who have real ads that are designed to attract my users and are offering something my users would be interested in. If you are just buying links as search engine bait, you aren't getting the most out of your money. This is one reason I have discontinued selling some text link positions on my site that typically didn't get seen by humans.

I've been doing SEO for about 3 years now. I was looking at different ways of promotion a website in SEs (mainly Google then Yahoo and MSN).

From my experience I can tell - Yes sitewide linking still works for MSN and Yahoo. But not for Google. I would even say it is even dangerous to play with SW links concerning Google.
