Hey all, I run a Guns N' Roses site and it just seems like one after another things are going wrong. I've been trying to get links from other sites and only one Guns N' Roses site has actually linked back, its a large site so I'm happy for that. But I've emailed at least 30 other Guns N' Roses sites and I either get no link and no response or the sites so out of date that the webmaster most likely has a different email....the majority of the sites beating me on google seem to be these dead sites and large music sites that encompass many bands, (all experts)(song meanings(lyrics conglomerates) I tell other webmasters when I email them that I have stuff to offer in that I've written my own history (not many GNR sites seem to have done that), and that I work to write interpretations, even though I only have four now, they take work. I've been working on site optimization, I know my sites not very well optimized but its gotten better lately, but then after spending time on that I sit back and remember how much more important backlinks are and offsite optimization and I feel all my work was futile. Well I'm asking for suggestions, I've been actively joining directories, I've applied to about 35-40, not too many have accepted but I'm sure that will take time, don't worry I'm still applying to more of those. I'm not trying to write a sob sorry even though now I'm looking over it and it appears that way woops, but does anyone have any suggestions for getting the links. I'm close to saying the hell with em (the links to relevant sites) I'm just gonna keep adding content and screw trying the offsite SEO for a while. Not to mention my PR was 3 yesterday and now its 0. .....after my exams I plan on locking myself in my room and adding interpretations, images, and other stuff for weeks.
