Thanks for the list. I have now signed up to them all and have submitted at least 1 thing to them all. Although it is good that you can get alot of traffic quickly, the main thing which is the hard part is to get listed in the sites and also get a good placement in them. Lets just see how things go.
My first visit and I've already picked up enough info here in this thread to keep me busy for a while. I enjoyed the professionalism of the posts here and look forward to seeing if it carries through to the other threads (I'm sure it will). If this is how this community interacts with each other, I will be spending a lot of time here. Hopefully contributing to the excellent information I have already seen today. Ah, so now I know where all of the blog submissions on ShoutWire are coming from. I'm an admin over at ShoutWire, and after reading this I thought i'd give some tips on how NOT to get your post deleted (or your account banned): - Have original content. A post that is a copy & paste from another source will be deleted. - Submit other stuff too. I know you want people to see your site, but if you submit links to your site too often, you'll be banned (we have a no self-promotion policy). A good way to side-step this is to submit a variety of news stories from multiple sites, shout other peoples' articles, and leave comments. - A good way to have your post deleted is to have the words "free", "download" or "!" in your title. - Same thing goes for ALL-CAPS TITLES. They are deleted on sight. - Make sure that you are posting something news-worthy. SEO and webmaster stuff does very poorly on ShoutWire, so you're pretty much wasting your time submitting that sort of thing. - If your site contains poor grammar or spelling, your post will be deleted. - Anyone with multiple accounts will be banned immediately. - Anyone suspected of trying to artificially inflate the number of shouts that their submission receives will be banned. ShoutWire puts the readers before the submitters. We don't want the submissions page to look like a junk mail folder. Keep that in mind The better the material on your site, the more of a chance that your post will receive shouts. Anyways, hope that was helpful. As a parting tip, 22 shouts usually gets you to the front page.
Wow! Good stuff you guys. Since this thread was started awhile back, anyone got any new ones to add???
Wow, I think I had this thread opened for 45 minutes just checking out and submitting to some of those sites. Great list. Although new, I believe Sivatar will help drive traffic to your site. http://www.sivatar.com
