Sites Ranking Over Mine for my Content?

    Hello everyone,
so it has come to my attention that many sites that steal content (word for word) due to rss feed, are ranking above my site. Here is an example:

    http://www.google.com/#pq=chilling+....,cf.osb&fp=7d76c5b2ed21d0e8&biw=1280&bih=514

From this search, on the first page the number 2, 5, 6 spot are sites that stole it word for word. Then my site shows up at number 7 (Sneaker Files) for the homepage only, not even the direct url.

So, my question is, I know I can file DMCA notices against them all, but lets be honest they will pop up right after (other sites). Is their something my website is doing wrong? I do not get this. I started the site in 2006 and never had this happen.

    Your Help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks.

Well if your in the US you can launch a DCMA. But it may or may not do anything if their somewhere else. What i like to do is add an image and if i see my images or content being copied I have my image link to a program that states that the site is infected with a virus an to leave right away or harm could come to their computer.

Try to contact them. Tell them that if they will not change it, you will report it to DMCA.

Well. There must be something wrong. Try to contact those people involved and do what is the right thing to do.

I filled a DMCA noticed, but of course I have not heard anything yet. I just don't get this, my website has a ton of backlinks, and all from good places (like Yahoo Sports, etc).

I contacted one of the sites and they took it down, the other site has not replied so I am going to reach out to their hosting company to see what can be done.

I don't take it anyone can check my site out to see if their are any errors that you would know of? Also maybe a recommendation for a good and not too expensive SEO company (that is reliable).

the hosting company should end up taking down the site if they dont take down their content so i think you should be okay but bets of luck resolving this issue

I would just do the basic SEO yourself, or DP for it. Best option because sites are always going to pop up and they will likely just keep stealing content.

Did you write the content yourself or did you steal it from somewhere as well?
