I've recently had a few hundred uniques from http://www.milkandcookies.com. @mikkom: how do I submit a story to your site ? I couldn't see anything obvious.
We changed the hypersuper.com totally so it is not accepting news anymore. We did however open a new social news site that is a very much what the title of this thread is, it's a kind of hybrid between digg/fark/reddit ie. social news site with strange and nsfw content. You can find the site at http://www.blosker.com - feel free to submit your stuff there. And no spam of any kind thank you. cheers, _mikkom
If he had a game site, then 100 gb would not be too much at all. I had one game on Digg homepage last month and finished on 98 gb, and dont think I had even 50k visitors.
I have my own Digg clone that people can submit stock market related news & commentary too. It is very very new but I would love to get some decent, slightly controversial stock market views on it to ignite debates and such. Also I am hoping that the news that makes the front page should end up being the most useful in terms of making money through investing in stocks and shares.
Here is a site that has links you can use to generate traffic for your blog or website: http://timeforchange.typepad.com/lilsurfergirl/2006/12/quickly_generat.html There are 20 links listed.
I just had to add, my site got farked a while back and I had 65,000 hits in a weekend. The first day my site was freezing up. I called godaddy and the person I talked to said they had never seen a site use that much bandwidth before. It goes almost as fast as it comes, but it hits. The other one that over time I've had a couple hundred thousand hits from is stumbleupon. They have a 5 cents per hit sponsor service now, but it only pays off if you think stumblers will like your page and spread the word. I'm trying it for the first time now...
Hi Guys! Taka a look at this one http://www.addnews.org ... We open this site for Beta testing at this time. I shall be glad to hear your wishes concerning completion of a site. Thank's

I know, old thread, but thought the last sentence was funny. Wondering if hosts do this with Digg, now that it has eclipsed /.'s traffic driving potential by a factor of 2-3.
I found this http://www.V0V.com (value Zero! Vote) similar to digg, add to your list. please share the list when you are done.
