    For some websites.
Noticed : Google's cache of website-URL as retrieved on G-cache-time(D/M/Y/h/m/s) GMT
Is the G-cache-time normal if it shows a time but months ago or weeks ago.
eg: today is "6 Mar 2007" but the G-cache-time retrieved on "6 Jan 2007 02:28:59 GMT"

    Does IT matter?
    Why it happened?
Any Possible reasons or indications for being site-cache delayed?

    Thanks.

The more "important" a site is in google's eyes the more frequent the cache. A old cache date and/or "Supplemental Result" is an indicator that the site needs work (original content, authority backlinks, etc.). Google will cache some trusted authority sites more than once a day.

    Mjewel is correct.
To nuance this a bit: it also depends on the niche. In 'news' for instance, a one would expect a trusted site to be indexed daily. In subjects where not a lot changes, say 'history', a trusted site can go without indexing for a while (say a month), without it being a reflection on the amount of trust google has for that site.
Google indexes (and caches) more often when:
    - a site has a high PR
    - a site has new content often
    - a site is 'trusted' (usually this implies a high PR, but that's not always a given)

What I am seeing in one of my sites is the cache was there and now it has reverted back to a previous date suddenly. SIGH
