Sitepoint charging for links, what a scam - its bad enough they now charge for marketplace listings ot sell sites..

Ok I guess charging for "Selling a Site" is fine but for "Trading Services"? No way..

 

Don't see anything wrong with it, it's a business, so it's run acordingly.

 

Well, perhaps their ads don't pay the bills. Greed or need?

 

SP lost the plot the moment they began treating their forum as business. If they aren't making enough money from their core business on the site then they obviously aren't doing things right, or their just plain greedy which I think is more the case. They seem to forget it's the memberbase which builds up a forum.

junkpoint started charging people that wanted to list their sites for sale and invented some stupid excuse about not having enough server power to continue doing it for free... then they increased the price, then they increased it even more, then they started charging everything... then the jerks they have as "advisors" starting to delete any post where you warned other members about possible scams...

Just a place to avoid.
