I think I'd probably post a programming question on Sitepoint, but anything to do with search engines/directories I'd come here for. I think DP is a bit more friendly as well, but I wouldn't rank either forum over the other - they're just different, not better. :)

That was sneaky making it public lol.

I personally prefer Digital Point. It has a great community atmosphere that to date I have found unbeatable. It's also an amazing resource for all the latest news in web technology.

Yup, it really does. There's only one other forum I go on daily that has the bestestestest family/community spirit...but DP comes a close second. I love this place, and I'm not here for the information/tools/help from nerds so as you can see the general chat area is a prime chillout hotspot on the interweb...

SitePoint is a friendlier community if you really to know the people.

I think it's a poor comparison though. DigitalPoint seems more of a discussion place, and everyone is interested in the same thing (SEO). Every third thread becomes 50 pages long, because everyone here is interested in the topic.

SitePoint, on the other hand, is more of a help-forum. As a result, you have to deal with people asking stupid questions, and most threads get answered and that's it.

Uh, yeah, overusing ":D", exclamation marks, telling everone you're a 28-year-old virgin, constantly telling people AWS is dead and thinking it's funny are all things that generally make people think you're an idiot.

I 2 like the range of topics/forums here in DP. I don't spend anytime at sitepoint (hard enough finding the time to spend here), and of course, am also biased a bit.

And if Mella doesn't frequent the establishment I don't see why I should bother going there. (either...) :p

I absolutely hate that new fee they imposed on their members for listing websites for sale.

Even Eric Rudolph had to go into the residential neighborhoods when he lived in the woods to find some dupster food :)
