QFE. This is one of the main reasons I barely visit them now. It's stupid. I can't an auction for more than 1 site in 1 thread.

When I visit the place it makes me sick, the threads are boring as hell, you don't get a signature view to judge the posters if you are a guest and you get a shitload of pop up ads that make you want to leave the place before you even hit the index!

I was a member of Sitepoint and a great contributor at one point years ago too!

I like DP as it is. I know they wouldn't start charging for buy/selling. And the Adsense sharing is going to be really helpful for me.

It's a lot better than Sitepoint and I have been a member at both places and know both forums well, DP is not perfect but the managers will get things tuned up I believe!

The marketplace here is booming and will leave Sitepoint in the dust, plus you can't beat the price!

Hey ya know what I love DP. Sitepoint does indeed look boring.

As for the contests. I do participate as a logo designer. I actually one once ($150) which was sweet. But when they did up the prices I wasn't too happy because:

higher price = less contests = more designers = harder to win.

I'm only in the Contests forum. I've never really ventured out there.

When I was there I was in a contest too, mostly contesting with Administrators and moderators!

And now they charge $20 instead of $19.99 :)
