I love sitepoint but HIGHLY disagree. I believe DP is more involved in making money online through Internet Marketing, SEO, SEM, etc. and SP is more about Programming, Web Design and more "technical" stuff. I like both sites but I don't believe one is better than the other on any negative levels. They're definitely two different sites.
Maybe I wasnt clear. I have spent over $200 LISTING sites, domains, services, etc in their marketplace over the last 2 months with decent success.
I've said this before when the subject has come up..... I'm really greatful to Shawn for making Digitalpoint's forums available. I'm also very greatful to Matt and Mark for making Sitepoint's forums available. How wonderful that we have a choice, and that those two choices offer such differing results. Wouldn't it suck if they were both the same? As you'll hear from most experienced people in the industry, do your testing. Which one works for you, stick with it. If something's not working out too well, try something else. If both work for you, do both.
i have never used sitepoint . dp forums is a better marketplace than the sitepoint and here is free and you can get faster response here
I usually get a better response for scripts here at Digital Point, but a better response for Websites at SitePoint.
I am bored of Sitepoint! I have advertised 3 times and got only 1 sale. But I was pretty happy to find that buyer as he bought twice....... rest was sad. Did not go as expected. I was still thinking to try my luck with link sale there but havent been able to make an attempt yet
i used to think the ROI on sitepoint was great, but i no longer use them any more. i guess its all how you put your product across, the better your title and description, normally the better response you get.
I think you're overreacting. Sitepoint is a huge website with huge number of serious buyers. You need to understand your paying , you should know that you shouldn't sell rubbish . You should sell something which you know most likely someone will bid. I knew my domain FORUMEMOTICONS would get bids and it did. Face the facts, some don't get bids it's not their fault.
I think that everyone needs to understand that nobody is right and nobody is wrong. It's what you got out of either website that lets you post your view, but that's it. Your post is just your own view.
