Hi guys so recently I added a sitemap generator to my website. I then created one and submitted it to google using google webmaster. I submitted it yesterday and have looked at it again today. It states that ~70 urls were submitted but only 3 are indexed. So what does this mean? I haven't showed up for any search engine traffic. So if I get all 70 urls indexed does that mean I will have a chance of gaining some of those long tail keywords I have been hearing about?

Please give me a little insight! :D

P.s sorry but I just noticed the Sitemaps mini forum under google. Could a moderator please move this :D thanks!

Google might not crawl all pages at once.

If all pages indexed, yes you might get ranked for long tail as well as other keywords on your pages.

ah so the fact that I hadn't submitted one until now could have been really hampering my chances of getting some more traffic?
