Should URL's added to Google's webmaster tools be submitted with or without the www prefix or both? I added a URL the other day and submitted a sitemap, then came back the next day to find it had errors due to the fact that the URL contained no www prefix, whereas the sitemap did. I deleted the sitemap on my server and redid it without the www. I assume that's ok? I'm using Rage Sitemap Automator.

You have to provide the full URL address to the active web page, if it doesn't require www don't add it.

You should have consistent usage of either www or no-www throughout your entire website including your generated XML sitemaps. You may want to check this article for more information about this and similar issues.
