    Anyone else getting the "Pending Varification" problem???

    been like this for a week now with no changes?

    This is what it says for the "Site Overview"

    Type Submitted Last Downloaded Sitemap Status
    sitemap.xml Sitemap Web Dec 13 8 hours ago OK

    What is going on??? Am I doing something wrong or is Google sitemaps not working properly???

    Hi Seobiznezz.I have been getting the same now for TWO of my sites for over a month now!Downloaded ok,crawled ok but no stats.I've just given up on it for now.

    I had that too about a week ago. I just clicked on the link to verify the site again and everything has been fine since.

    Weird. I had my sites verified, but deleted the verification files at some stage.
    All looked fine, but suddenly I was asked to verify again. "No prob" I thought untill I had too find out that:
    1) too busy check back later
    2) pending verification
    3) file not found
    ...there are many ways to let you know that your site is not verified yet.
    Furthermore, there was this message that the file could not be found because of robots.txt, which I had not touched for months.
    Stupid me deleted the robots file just to get a message that my 404 shows 200 in the header, which is not allowed.
    Changed everything back, but still avaiting verification.

    On this blog http://groups.google.com/group/google-sitemaps/browse_frm/thread/4ec7719654a4e8d4?hl=en they say "It appears that most of the problems are sites where the first letter of the domain name starts with "C"."
