    I have the same question that Platefish asked. I'm using a free tool which will create a sitemap with 500 pages. I have a site that is now over 500 pages. Is it worth it to pay for the service that will create a larger sitemap?

    site maps can be helpful, when you know there are no errors on your website and your website is NEW. if you have sub domains and put in a sitemap google will link your subdomain to your main website and your PR will drop faster than you can say hello... IMO you are far better using correct internal linking techniques and letting google discourver your site naturally.

    Hi. Sitemap helps get pages spidered, and hopefully indexed. I use Sitemap Writer Pro. This powerful webtool generates the sitemap for my website in just seconds. Mayor search engines (Google, Yahoo, Ask, MSN, Moreover) are able to index and read my sitemaps without any problems.:)
