Sitemap

    I have notice my company website has a sitemap.aspx, will that be the same as the sitemap generated for google which is in .xml format? Also am I able to upload that using Google Webmaster tools?

    It's probably just a standard HTML sitemap

    (HTML sitemaps may be created in PHP, ASP.Net or whatever, but the output is still HTML)

    HTML sitemaps are different from Google sitemaps. You need to generate a XML sitemap and then add in Google webmaster tools
