Sitemap.xml Related Question

    How many web pages should insert in a sitemap.xml Actually my friend said me there isn’t much more 75 pages in a sitemap.xml please tell me this right or wrong. Please tell me how many pages should insert in a sitemap.

    sitemap usually covers all the pages in a website. however, there are some sites having hundreds of pages and some has thosands. there is no need to put all in the sitemap. if your site is big, then make sure all your categoris and major subcategories are in the sitemap and google bot will crawl to find the internals.

    Hi Siddharth,
    A sitemap.xml file can have upto 50,000 URLs but the file size should not be more than 10 MB. :)

    Let me know if you need further help regarding xml sitemaps.

    do you need to post separate sitemaps for each subdomain? one for www.mywebsite.com and another for product.mywebsite.com
